Umm….you do realize that’s a mannequin right? Also many black women have relaxed hair. Regardless, it’s not about the texture of the mannequins hair. I was demonstrating how to create a hairstyle. No big deal.

BlackBeautyTips says:

I learned by doing it at home. I love hair and makeup.

BlackBeautyTips says:

Keeps uneven ends together if you have them.

BlackBeautyTips says:

The style looks better on longer hair but you can do it on any length. Just be careful about your placement of the rods so your hair doesn’t shrink up too much and end up looking like a fro.

BlackBeautyTips says:

Pin them up at night and sleep like a lady.

BlackBeautyTips says:

Thank you!

BlackBeautyTips says:

I would say this or twist outs. They don’t involve heat. Using small rods and doing a regular wet set works too but not if you have longer hair (takes too long to dry).

BlackBeautyTips says:

Thank you and now not yet. I don’t have as much time to do videos as I’d like but I will soon.

BlackBeautyTips says:

That’s right. Save that money girl. You can do a lot more and probably better by yourself.

BlackBeautyTips says:

Beauty supply. Real cheap too. Less than 5 bucks for a ton of them in a little box.

BlackBeautyTips says:

@gagarrific Any beauty supply should have them. They’re really common.

BlackBeautyTips says:

Good for you and you’re welcome!

BlackBeautyTips says:

Do it. The style looks awesome on natural and/or transitioning hair.

BlackBeautyTips says:

Good luck!

BlackBeautyTips says:

To keep your ends together if they are all different lengths.

BlackBeautyTips says:

@diazragu2010 It would come out great. Just try it. And it if doesn’t look right try a few more times till you get it right.

BlackBeautyTips says:

You’re welcome. A curling iron is very damaging to your hair over time so if you love curls this is a much better and long lasting option.

BlackBeautyTips says:

I agree. It’s my favorite too.

BlackBeautyTips says:

Thanks. I will when I’m not so busy with other things. At the moment I’m swamped!

BlackBeautyTips says:

That’s alright. Even if it was you it ain’t no thing.

BlackBeautyTips says:

Doing it without the paper is fine. The paper only makes sure your ends don’t frizz and/or stay in place if they’re uneven.

BlackBeautyTips says:

It’s a hair dryer that’s shaped like a bonnet you’d wear on your head. You see the professional ones at the salon but they have cheaper models you can use at home.

BlackBeautyTips says:

You’re welcome. 🙂

BlackBeautyTips says:

No. You should use the paper or nothing at all.

mscott290 says:

ii think this video iis great. iit really seems like something i could do myself at home instead of paying my hair stylist over $30 for the same thing.
